Celogen

Celogen is the solo project of Calgary’s Dominic Demierre, a pop experimenter who traded his post-punk drumkit for something harder to categorize. Since 2018 he has released three EPs and three full-length albums, moving freely between tender folk, industrial noise, prog rock, and his own spin on showtunes. Drawing on Brian Wilson’s melodic invention, Kate Bush’s restlessness, and St. Vincent’s precision, Celogen is a deliberate break from readymade aesthetics — an ongoing search for a sound that’s entirely his own.
