Conference & Trade Show Video in Calgary

Keynote capture, daily recaps, and a highlight film built for the next ticket cycle.

A conference is an expensive thing to let evaporate. Months of planning, a room full of the right people, speakers you negotiated for, and by Monday it’s over. Conference video production in Calgary is how that investment keeps paying. You end up with proof for next year’s ticket page, content for the months between events, and something to hand your sponsors.

We film conferences, summits, and trade shows across Calgary, from fifty-person industry breakfasts to multi-day, multi-track programs. The crew is four people who plan the coverage in advance and film without interrupting the program.

Coverage that follows the program

Conference filming is a scheduling problem as much as a camera problem. We build our coverage plan from your run-of-show. Locked cameras hold the keynote stage, a second unit moves between breakout rooms, and floor coverage is timed to the breaks when the hallway actually fills. Panels get covered from enough angles that the edit can cut between speakers as they talk.

Audio gets the same planning. We pull from the AV board where one exists and run our own backups regardless. Conference content is mostly speech, so the words have to be clear.

The daily recap

The daily recap is a sixty-second cut of day one, turned around for day two. Attendees share it because they’re in it, and registrants who stayed home still have a day left to show up for. It only works when it’s planned into the budget, because a turnaround that fast needs an editor dedicated to the recap for the week. Raise it in the first conversation.

After the event, the highlight film gets the full edit treatment: pacing, grade, licensed music. It lands on the ticket page for the next edition. Speaker sessions, sponsor clips, and social cutdowns round out the package depending on what you’ve promised whom.

Filming without disrupting the room

Conferences are working environments, and people are there to talk to each other. Our default mode is quiet: a small footprint, direction given at conversational volume, and no lighting rigs anywhere near the coffee line. We coordinate directly with your AV company. Most delegates won’t notice they were filmed until they see themselves in the recap.

If your event is closer to a gala or festival than a program of sessions, our event videography page covers that ground. If you want the executive interviews turned into standalone company content, that’s corporate video, and we can film it in the same production block.

Common Questions

Can you deliver recap videos during the conference itself?
Yes, when it's scoped in advance. A 45–60 second recap of day one lands in feeds during day two, which needs an extra editor budgeted in from the start. Tell us early and we'll build the crew for it.
How do you capture speaker audio?
We take a direct feed from your AV company's board whenever one exists and run backup recorders on top of it. If there's no AV company, we mic the podium and panel ourselves. Either way, audio gets planned before the day.
Can sponsors get their own video coverage?
Yes. Sponsor booth visits and short exhibitor interviews slot neatly into floor coverage, and a branded clip is a genuinely useful thing to hand your sponsors at renewal time. Tell us the packages you've sold and we'll build the shot list to match.
What venues in Calgary have you worked?
Hotel ballrooms, the convention-centre style halls, breweries, and converted industrial spaces around the city. Every venue gets a walkthrough or a floor-plan review in advance so camera positions and cable runs are decided before doors open.
